After graduating as valedictorian from Florida International University College of Law, Casey clerked for the Honorable John T. Copenhaver and the Honorable Robert C. Chambers in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. There, she learned from the judicial perspective what makes an effective advocate in the courtroom.
Casey then worked as an associate attorney for Hissam Forman Donovan Ritchie in West Virginia, where she became experienced in writing appellate briefs and litigating both civil and criminal cases. She brings her hands-on litigation experience, as well as her research and writing expertise, to appellate advocacy.
During her time at FIU’s College of Law, Casey honed her writing and advocacy skills. She served as the Executive Managing Editor of FIU’s Law Review and excelled in Moot Court. Casey also earned the highest grade in many of her classes, including two of her legal writing courses.
Casey’s experience—clerking for judges both during and after law school, litigating trial cases, and writing appellate briefs—has prepared her to take on your case. She is passionate about helping you through the appellate process.
